Kristen Zycherman, RN, BSN
Maternal and Infant Health Initiative Lead and Maternal and Infant Health Subject Matter Expert, Division of Quality and Health Outcomes, CMS & CHIP

Kristen is the lead for the Maternal and Infant Health Initiative in the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Division of Quality and Health Outcomes within the Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services Children and Adults Health Program Group. She is a subject matter expert in maternal and infant health. Within the CMS, she previously worked in the Medicare-Medicaid Coordination Office supporting the coordination of coverage and care for dually eligible beneficiaries as well as the Division of Medical Review and Education. She has a background in labor and delivery nursing and obstetrical research. She completed her bachelor of science degree in nursing at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, during which time she participated in their Birth Companions Program. She also completed a bachelor of arts degree in sociology from the University of Maryland with a concentration in social stratification.
